PEN’s in-person diagnostic maps your child across Reading, Maths, Thinking Skills and Writing against the real demands of OC and Selective. Then your child’s teacher walks you through the recoverable weaknesses and a clear plan for Term 3.
Your child is the whole picture — the diagnostic finds the missing pieces.
A premium NSW academy with a serious learning system behind it — proprietary curriculum, teacher-moderated feedback and diagnostic reporting.
The most useful thing before Term 3 isn’t another mark — it’s knowing exactly which skills to work on, and why.
A report card gives a mark — not the specific skills behind it, or which ones to work on next.
A solid average can sit on top of two or three weak skills that only surface under real exam conditions.
These tests check every skill area — the strong ones and the quiet gaps alike. The detail is what matters.
Where they’re strong and where the recoverable weaknesses are — skill by skill, across Reading, Maths, Thinking Skills and Writing.
Clear and jargon-free: the priorities to work on, the reasons behind them, and the next learning steps.
The right class and focus areas, walked through one-on-one with your child’s teacher. No obligation to enrol.
The diagnostic is the front door to how PEN actually teaches.
Our own questions and texts, written for NSW top-end demands — not copied workbooks.
Feedback and reports are reviewed by teachers — line-specific, evidence-based, never auto-generated.
Spaced review and Bloom-level task design move students from recall to real reasoning.
Pattern drills and structured problem analysis train students to think through unfamiliar questions.
Reports show recoverable weaknesses and the next priorities — no score-prediction guesswork.
A single system from OC and Selective through NAPLAN, Year 7–12 and HSC.
Winter sessions are in-person and limited. Start Term 3 with a clear plan, not a guess.
